Dice Word Roller
Roll five dice per word. The five digits (each 1 to 6) form a number from 11111 to 66666, and that number picks a word from the EFF Large Wordlist of 7,776 words.
Each die comes from the browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues). Values that would favor some faces are discarded, so every face has exactly a 1 in 6 chance.
Separate rolls with spaces or new lines. Only the digits 1 to 6 are accepted.
How the randomness works
Every die is rolled by your browser's built-in security generator, the same one websites use to create encryption keys. Your device gathers unpredictable noise, such as tiny timing differences in hardware, and the generator turns that into random numbers that nobody can predict or repeat.
A computer's numbers don't divide evenly into 6, so the page throws away the few values that would make some faces come up more often. That leaves each face of every die a fair 1 in 6 chance.
Five dice make a number from 11111 to 66666, and that number points to exactly one word in the list of 7,776. Nothing is sent anywhere, so only you ever see your rolls. If you would rather use physical dice, choose "My own dice" and type in your results.
